Teaching

I have years of teaching experience in settings ranging from one-to-one, small groups, whole class and online teaching. I also have experience in leading sectional and small ensemble rehearsals. I started teaching back home in Wales while at sixth form, I helped run the weekly string ensemble rehearsals in Caernarfon and also gave weekly private lessons to a beginner violinist up until grade 1. During this time I also did a week of volunteering on Sistema Cymru's "Codi’r To" project with the William Mathias Schools Music Service, where I worked with primary school children at Maesincla and Glancegin schools, supporting, mentoring and performing music with brass instruments and percussion.

Soon after graduating from the University of Manchester in 2018 I started working as a part time violin teacher at Tameside Music Service. Since starting I have delivered weekly one-to-one, small group and whole class lessons across primary and secondary schools in Tameside, as well as at the Tameside Music Service building. I have also been assisting with running the junior and senior after school string ensembles at the service, regularly taking sectional and tutti rehearsals myself. Recently, due to the restrictions implemented by the government as a response to the COVID-19 outbreak, I have been delivering online lessons via Zoom to many of my pupils.

I am available to book for private tuition and am very happy to organise online lessons while the government restrictions are in place. Feel free to contact me with any teaching enquiries.
